As we ease ourselves into 2021 clubs may still be closed but that hasn’t slowed down nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, AKA Satin Jackets. Now he’s partnered with up and coming UK vocalist Tailor on new single, ‘Relapse’, and again struck gold as Tailor’s vocals, touched with a sense of nostalgic melancholy, are the perfect fit for Tim’s smooth mix of disco beats and evocative melodies.

“‘Relapse’ is about a relationship that you know is destructive in the long run but you can't help going back to,” explains Tailor. “Those moments of bliss, excitement and then serenity are fleeting but you'd rather stay lost than face the reality. The song’s influenced by the dance floor and the vibe you get when you lose yourself to everything in the moment, but deep down you know the feeling can't last.”

Having clocked up more than 50 million streams on Spotify alone for his 2019 album ‘Solar Nights’, 2020 saw Tim build on that with a string of acclaimed instrumental releases and hit collaborations with Metaxas and Panama. Kicking off 2021 in fine style ‘Relapse’ is sure to follow in their footsteps and once again is as perfect an accompaniment to chilling on the sofa as it would be to nursing a cocktail around a pool.
