In Revelation, Babylon the Great is a symbol of a corrupt world power that seduces nations, persecutes God’s people, and serves the beast’s agenda—yet her reign ends swiftly when Christ returns in glory and judgment.

The Book of Revelation paints her as a richly adorned harlot seated on seven hills, holding a golden cup of abominations. She rides the beast (symbolizing an empire empowered by Satan) and deceives through false religion, political control, and economic power. Her fall is sudden—“in one hour”—as the Lamb overthrows all evil and establishes His kingdom.
