The song is song about the Ejercito de Zapatista Liberacion Nacional (EZLN) an insurgent guerilla rebel group primarily active in the southern state of Chiapas in Mexico.
They are marxist-leninist and have a focus on worker rights,indigenous rights, and end of the exploitation of the Mayan people.
They are currently led by Sub-commandante Marcos.
They rose up in rebellion in 1999 in cemeber in chiapas and quickly took over much of chiapas including the state capital.
