‘우리는 저 달을 바라보기만 하면 돼. 결국 달이 뜨면 해결될 거야,모두 제자리로 돌아갈 수 있겠지?’

Disentangle은 ‘얽매인 문제에서 풀어지다, 해방되다’라는 뜻으로 현시대의 애환을 ‘달’이라는 매개체에 담아 하나의 세계관으로 이야기를 엮어냈다.

‘코로나 펜데믹으로 모두가 그로기상태로 접어들었고 코로나블루 라는 씁쓸한 단어까지 생겨났습니다. 서로 살 비비며 살아가던 인간들은 단절된 채 뿔뿔이 흩어지고 말았습니다. 혼자 있는 시간이 많아진 우리들.

자신을 돌아보기도 하였고, 그 속에서 많은 물음이 떠올랐을 것입니다.

이번 앨범을 통해 해결되지 않는 무언가로부터 얽혀버린 우리를 위로하고 구도자들의 갈증을 해소하고 싶었습니다. 달을 바라보며 소원을 비는 사람들. 서도밴드의 음악이 여러분을 밝게 비춰 어둠을 밝혀 드릴게요.’

[이야기 구성]

총 5곡으로 이루어진 이번 앨범은 ‘향기 없는 꽃’이라는 하나의 이야기로 진행된다.

[ ‘킁킁... 이상하다... 왜 너에게는 향기가 나지 않지?’
‘나도 이유를 모르겠어’
‘향기가 나지 않는 꽃은 꽃이 될 수 없어!’
해승은 그만 울어버리고 말았어요.

옆에 있던 다른 꽃이 해승을 위로해주며 이야기했어요.
’울지마 해승아, 향기를 찾고 싶다면 달님에게 가봐.‘
‘달님...?’
‘응, 달님은 뭐든지 해결해 주실 거야.’
진정한 꽃이 되고 싶었던 해승은 달님을 찾아 멀리 떠날 준비를 했답니다.]

1. Tic Toc - 정신없는 시대, 혼란의 시대, 어지러운 나날들....

2. City Lights - 도시의 불빛을 만드는 우리, 당신은 자신의 빛을 바라볼 수 있나요?

3. 향기 없는 꽃 - 향기가 나지 않는 사람은 슬프다.현실에 메말라 비틀어진 채, 시들어 가는 우리는 처량하기 짝이 없다.각자의 향기를 찾아 헤매는 사람들의 울음 소리가 이 밤을 물들인다.

4. 뱃노래 - 마음의 고향으로 떠나자. 어슴푸른 달빛이 물 위를 비추고 구도자들의 염원이 노를 젓는다.어기어차... 어기어차...

5. 강강술래 - 달 밝은 밤 우리는 모두 밖으로 나와 손을 맞잡는다. 일렁이는 달빛 아래 유영하는 사람들. 각자의 이야기는 노래가 되고, 설움은 춤이 되어 다함께 돌고 돌아, 모두 풀어 버리세.

sEODo BAND, the Founder of Chosun Pop's First EP

Created by sEODo BAND, Chosun pop, a combination of the words "Chosun" and "Pop," is a musical genre that incorporates the elements of pop music into the unique story, rhythm, and melody of Korean traditional music. Through this album, sEODo BAND defines their so-called Chosun Pop. Their attempt to reinterpret the traditional groove in their own colors and their solid, nearby perfect band sound raise the expectations and curiosity of many listeners.


[Moon: Disentangle]

'All we have to do is just look at the moon. Once the moon rises, things will be resolved, then everything will go full circle, right?'

Disentangle means "being freed or released from a complicated situation." Using "moon" as a metaphor, Disentangle weaves the joys and sorrows of today's society into a fictional world.

'Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is feeling groggy and burnout. Even there's a newly coined, bitter term called 'Corona Blue.' Living in a contact-free era, people are left behind and scattered. We're now spending more time alone.

Also taking it as a chance for introspection, many questions may have come to our minds.

Through this album, we wanted to comfort us, who became entangled in some unresolved things, and quench the truth-seekers’ thirst. Those who make a wish on the moon, sEODo BAND's music will lighten you up and brighten the darkness.'

[Composition of the Story]

This 5-track album unfolds a story about 'unscented flowers.'

['Sniff, sniff... weird... why do you have no scent?'
'I also have no idea'
'Flowers with no scents can't become flowers!'
Hae-seung cried, eventually.

Another flower behind her cheered up Hae-seung and said,
'Hae-seung, don't cry. If you're looking for a smell, go ask the Moon.'
'The Moon...?'
'Uh-huh, the Moon will help you with everything.'
Hae-seung, who wanted to become a real flower, prepared for a long journey to the Moon.]

1. Tic Toc - Hectic Times, Chaotic Era, Days of Confusion...

2. City Lights - We, who make the city lights––Can you see your own light?

3. Unscented Flowers - A person with no scent is unhappy. Feeling washed-out and spiritless in real life, we wither; we are pathetic. People wander in search of their scents; the night is tinged with their cry.

4. Sea Shanty - Let's go to the places in the heart. Moonlight gleams on the water; truth-seekers dearest wishes row the boat. Heave-ho... Heave-ho...

5. Ganggangsullae - On a moonlit night, we go outside and hold our hands together. Those swimming under the swaying moonlight. Each of our stories becomes a song; our sorrow turns into a dance. Go round and round together, set everything free.
