The album peaked at No.8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and No.1 on the US Billboard Dance Chart. The album sold over one million copies worldwide. The album afforded Shannon her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, presented at the 27th Annual Grammy Awards in 1985.
