Nataly’s Corner is proud to feature jazz pianist and music producer Skinny Hightower with music from his new album titled “Emotions”, released on May 25, 2017. This is such a great comeback from his previous album “Cloud Nine” and I’m honored that Skinny has allowed me to showcase his new music on the Channel. “Emotions” clearly shows that Skinny is evolving through his music as a jazz artist and multi-instrumentalist. Listening to this compilation, you could also envision him as a journeyed individual who has come in touch with the emotional aspects of life that sometimes shape our inner being and attitudes. However you define Skinny you’ll walk away knowing that he put his heart and soul into the project. This 15-track album has all the makings for a jazz music chartbuster with percussion & bass rhythmic grooves like Jubilee; Taboo; Storms; I Can’t Help it; and Edge of Forever. Adding to those are the mellower grooves of “Make Me Believe; Closer; In the Moment; and Near Dawn. And then there’s the title track “Emotions”….which is no doubt, the jam! Accompanying Skinny Hightower on this music masterpiece are an array of prominent jazz musicians such as Rock Hendricks, Lin Rountree, Julian Vaughn, Nick Colionne, David P. Stevens, Charlie Duran, and of course [on the title track] Andrew Hawkley and Kool & Klean.
