Woke up with my eyes barely open
Thought it was midnight but it was already six
Sky looked soft with colors fading
i stepped outside still wrapped in a blanket

I sat on the stairs with my head leaning back
Birds were singing but i kept lookin up
Stars were still there just a little dim
Like they didn't wanna leave like me

Star gazing at morning
The sky turning blue but my mind still dreaming
The cold air still hugs my skin
Like a silent song before the noise begins

Everyone still sleeping
But my heart was running
Thinking about the things i wanted
And the stars that stayed to listen

Clouds rolled in slow like a whisper
And the moon said goodbye with a smirk
I smiled back like yeah i saw that
Like we shared a secret before the light

Star gazing at morning
When the night forgets to close the door
And you sit there like you're floating
in between what was and what is for sure

I didnt take a photo
I just blinked and locked it in my head
The way the stars held on
Like they were waiting for someone

I sat there til the sky turned gold
And the stars faded like stories untold
But it was worth it
Cause even morning let me dream a little longer

Star gazing at morning
When you're stuck between quiet and chaos
And your chest feels light
Cause the world still looks soft

Maybe ill wake up early again
Just to feel that peace that never talks
Just sits with me
