We experienced one of the greatest musical discoveries this year visiting Sherwood Forest. We got to visit with Jacques, Bloody Bess, and thoroughly enjoyed some of the most invigorating music ever recorded by Stary Olsa!
The band from Minsk, Belarus, is so energetically inspirational, hearing their music actually brought me out of retirement. 5 days after learning about them, Elizabeth and I endured the 4 hour trek from Dallas through storms and torrential downpour to see them perform 3 sets on their last day at Sherwood. It was well worth it. Mon Dieu, was it ever!!
I have it on good authority they will be back in the states in August. We are making plans to see them, again!!!
