The song "Stayin' Alive" was written and popularized by the Gibb brothers namely Robin, Maurice and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees for the movie soundtrack of "Saturday Night Fever". The song was released on December 13, 1977 as the second single from the soundtrack.

Upon release of the song, "Stayin' Alive" reached the charts on the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining on that spot for four consecutive weeks. The Gibb brothers admitted that the song did brought them to fame, unfortunately, it labeled their music primarily in disco act.
