Out of the cold winter of 1775, there rose a swirling mist. This formless haze would soon resolve itself into a burgeoning republic, a nation governed by consent of the common citizen, and defended by the same. That winter saw the foundation of what would become the greatest maritime force the world has ever known. Every American sailor, from then until today, represents a vital link in an unbroken chain. A chain forged by the sea.
