Description
When he wasn't tapping out grooves for songs like Rosanna, Africa, and Hold the Line, Toto drummer Jeff Porcaro was one of the most sought after session players throughout the 80s. Steely Dan and many other albums he played on. But he was also the drummer's drummer. Don Henley wanted him to play on this song. I think Porcaro also did Boys of Summer, if I'm not mistaken. He was also the drummer for producers like Quincy Jones when he needed help on Thriller. And finally, this is actually one of my more favorite songs. Boz Scaggs loved this guy, and this is his groove from Lowdown. Porcaro passed in ‘92. Check out his work.
