The Burning Ghat (Out Now!)

The Burning Ghat is a sincere ode by Rishab to the fire that burns at the Manikarnika Ghat (Varanasi) known as the holy place for cremation. The sacred fire is a passage leading to Moksh (salvation) liberating from the cycle of rebirth. The soundscape is designed using Traditional Indian Instruments and electronic synths. Rishab’s trip to Burning Man in 2023 was a catalyst in the sound design and the arrangement of this song, where a similar fire burns ‘Temple’ at the end of the festival relieving people of grief and heartbreak.
