A little of my face is lit up – Like the smile on a smiley face

Phase 3 -First Quarter moon – I look like half a circle
At sunset, I’m high in the sky - and You can see half of me

Phase 4 - Waxing Gibbous – now I’m looking fatter
Each day more light is on me - There’s more of me to see

Full Moon – Hello! I’m lit up and bright
Phase 5 you see my whole face – I light up the night

This is my better half – lit up for you to see

Phase 8 - Waning crescent – I look like a cheshire cat smile
I’m just a small sliver – at the end of my phase journey

I’m called an Old Moon
Just before I’m back to phase one
Then I’m A dark New Moon again
My new cycle has begun
