Description
One of my personal favourites, 'The Shadow of Your Smile' was written by Johnny Mandel (with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster) in 1965 for the film 'The Sandpiper' starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Many artists have since recorded this song over the years including Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Johnny Mathis to name but a few.
Here is Herb Alpert's version released a year later in 1966 from the 'What now my Love?' album with my take on a visual interpretation.
