So on Friday Hasbro released the official soundtrack for MLP, which includes:

Becoming Popular

(Note: These are the official titles as given by the album. Some of them had semi-official titles given by Daniel Ingram, but some of those have been changed here.) Not only can you now own these songs legally, but they have been remastered and remixed to a higher quality than the episode versions. Among other things:

The instrumentals seem to have been mixed higher in some of the songs. I haven't compared all of them yet.
Some sound effects, such as the fireworks in At the Gala, Opal's tapping of the desk in Becoming Popular, magic and random cartoon effects have been removed. Some of these you can tell just by looking at the video.
Some non-singing voices that aren't essential to the song have been removed, such as Spike's shout at the end of At the Gala or Pinkie's "Oh girls, don't you see?" at the beginning of the Laughter song. The instrumentals and other character's lines that occur at the same moment remain.

Also note that while I attempted to sync up the video as much as possible, sometimes my editor crapped out on me and I had to just guess, so I may be off a few frames.

Remember to support the official release! We had to beg Hasbro to release this for 3 years, and then they released a bunch of old, Season 1 and 2 songs with several of those even missing, most notably the Cutie Mark Crusaders song, which I think everyone wants to hear the (already existing, by the way) good version of. Several other major songs and all the minor ones are missing as well, and no Season 3 or Equestria Girls songs are included at all. With all of the missing Season 1 and 2 songs, Season 3, and Equestria Girls, Hasbro already has plenty of material to release another album, RIGHT NOW. And with 16 songs confirmed to be on the way for Season 4, they could release ANOTHER one when Season 4 is over. Apparently, though, since they held back on this release, Hasbro still needs some convincing. What we have to do to convince them is support the ever-loving crap out of this release, and maybe they'll release another volume. This would be good for both people like me, who just want to own it legally, but even moreso for remixers so they don't have to contend with the nasty sound effects and random voices in the episodes that were removed in this release. So go buy this one, on iTunes or Google Play, right now! It's only $10!
