Description
Headed out early morning to Pescadero, California to fish the rocks during low tide. Even though the tide wasn’t that low (just over 2 feet due to the current neap tides), I was able to pinpoint rockfish and land a couple of different species.
In this video, I show the potential of fishing tide pools and other hidden spots that are only accessible when the water drops. I’m using the same setup as my previous trips — an 8'6" Okuma Connoisseur Medium-Heavy Action Spinning Rod paired with a Piscifun Nautix 3000 reel. My lure of choice was a 1/2 oz -1 oz jig head with swimbaits. Along the way I also teach how to tie a Double Uni Knot to connect two fishing lines together — one of the most useful knots for shore anglers.
If you’ve ever wondered what low tide fishing on the California coast can produce, or how to work jigs and swimbaits in these unique environments, this is the video for you.
