Description
Juliette and Joachim from Pearl & The Oysters are two of my best friends in Los Angeles, and we’ve casually collaborated on a few of their tunes over the years. I felt it was long overdue to have an official track together, and we wrote and recorded most of it from scratch in a single day at my studio Honeymoon Suite, finishing it up in a second session months later. The song originated from something Juliette wrote, which became the first verse. While we were working on an instrumental idea for the chorus, I started singing the chorus from a completely different song called “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun,” which I had partially demoed a while back. It was a beautiful serendipity that our two ideas lined up perfectly.
