A tribute was made to Eddie Blazonczyk, Sr., longtime leader of the Versatones, often hailed as America's No. 1 Polka Band. The video opens with the recounting of his biography, presentation of official proclamations and concludes with two songs from the '60s sung by Chet Kowalkowski and Lenny Gomulka. The biography is read by Steve Rogers, a Pulaski resident, who is a current member of the Versatones, now under the direction of Eddie Blazonczyk, Jr. Another son, Tony Blazonczyk also leads a popular band, New Phaze.
