Tuff Culture has been waving the flag for independent artists since he began producing, becoming a well-known icon on the Birmingham scene and receiving a plethora of support from across the board. Whether it was radio airplay on BBC Radio1, Kiss FM, Capital FM, Rinse FM or Ministry of Sound he's remained hotly tipped over the last year and will continue to be following this next EP. Released on Four40 Records, an imprint who've stood on the forefront of urban dance music since their inception, he's received a place for his music to grow artistically and this is clear over all three tracks.

First up is ‘Easy', a dancefloor, pumping house-anthem which is set to resonate across clubs from the UK to abroad. With samples filtering between the mix, a clapping snare underpins the composition whilst clinking percussion adds a flare of
delicacy. ‘Easy' is a jiving, pumping sonic cut which is quickly suspended by female vocals and a climatic drop. Setting you up for its successor, Tuff Culture is an artist who doesn't play with his mixdowns. Then comes ‘Lust', clanking on padded drums and a tightly-felt composition. Skittering beats roll underneath the record, whilst Tuff Culture opens you up to a different side of his production standard. Note arpeggios slowly build you up, driving you higher and higher until you reach its voice-lead climax. Cascading bass takes you down to lower depths and you become aware that this is yet another track meant for explode subs with its power.

‘Not Alone' finishes the EP, bringing out a bass-heavy free fall into chaos, although not before its illusive intro. You're taken forward by the tinkling of piano, a melody which begins to grow against its vocal samples. Then without warning you're plummeted into distorted bass and a driving bassline that catches you without letting go. Each hi-hats brings you even further into the madness, before making it clear just how well thought-out Tuff Culture's riddims have proven to be. If you're newly acquainted with this producer, his vision will soon become clear. To create the type of records which are fist-pumpingly addictive; ones that'll drag anyone onto the
dancefloor.
