"Bekledim de Gelmedin" by the famous Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis is a cover of the same song by Zeki Muren.
Kazantzidis while being a Greek singer, sang in Turkish as well. His song "Bekledim de Gelmedin" was constantly played on the radio after the events of Bloody Christmas (1963). This was done to taunt Turkish Cypriots who had been expecting military relief from Turkey that never came. Which essentially ended with the Turkish landings on Northern Cyprus.
