The reason why we love the things of the world so often is that we are not savoring enough of the diverse excellencies of God as expressed in Christ.
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace!”
