Description
I love the sound of the bouzouki. It’s the musical equivalent to a hot whiskey: honey smooth with a fiery bite on the end, all dressed in the aromatics of something you can’t quite put your finger on. The song grew out of a love for the sound of the main chords. We had fun in the studio with this one—at one point Fergal was playing the world’s smallest cymbal whilst I was drumming on an actual pineapple sent to us in a fruit basket (Thanks Maryann!). Both made it into the final mix. - David Howley
