The song beautifully interprets the meaning behind the wise men’s gifts. Each gift has a prominent significance.

Firstly, the gift of gold, representing the Crown and the Kingship as gold since ancient times is considered to be a precious and valuable metal and is associated with royalty.

Secondly, gift of Frankincense resembles worship and praise to the Deity Jesus Christ, because of its use as a burning incense for ceremonial worship.

Lastly, gift of myrrh, pointing to the death of our Savior Jesus Christ as myrrh was used to prepare bodies for burial, signifying the sacrifice He made to save us all.

Indeed what wonderful and joyous night it was. All the heaven and earth singing in exultation for the newborn King, who is called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of peace.
