Description
West Lake (西湖) is one of the best know scenic areas in China. It is located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, about 1 hour by train from Shanghai. It is most beautiful in spring during the plum blossom and in summer during the lotus blossom. There are temples and pagodas around the lake. It was designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. I have many opportunities to visit West Lake many throughout the years while I lived in Shanghai. This video showed West Lake in spring.
