Description
Sunshine Bass is a freshwater fish that is a hybrid mix created from a White Bass x Striped Bass mix. This mix creates the best qualities of both making it a highly sought after fish by anglers. They have a sleek elongated body, a silvery colored body and average 12 to 24 inches long. Because of how strong they are they are acrobatic and they’ll fight like Tyson making them quite the fighter.
They like freshwater reservoirs, rivers and lakes with deep water and lots of submerged structure like rocks and drop-offs. They eat shad, minnows, pretty much if it fits in their mouth they’ll eat it. Use flies that copy their preferred food like, clousers, large bucktails and articulated minnows. They cannot reproduce but have a good growth rate. They World Record Sunshine Bass weighs 24 lbs 3oz in Leesville Lake Virginia in 1989.
