Wild Mountain Thyme. This version is of the song is credited to Francis McPeake out of Belfast Ireland and was first recorded by his nephew in the 1950s.
McPeake seems to have borrowed heavily from an older Scottish folk song by the name of "Braes of Balquither" which was written by Scottish poet Robert Tannahill and composer Robert Archibald Smith in the early 1800s. Lyrics Below;
