Description
Tungsten is the world’s strongest metal, surpassing even the titanium found in Apple products. While titanium has a tensile strength of about 63,000 PSI, tungsten boasts a whopping 1,00,042 PSI. So, what happens if you fire a bullet at this super-strong metal? First, a 9mm bullet was fired at a tungsten tube. Upon impact, the bullet shattered into small pieces, barely even leaving a scratch on the tungsten surface. Next, a rifle was used, but the bullet peeled open like a banana, again causing no harm to the tungsten. Finally, an armor-piercing bullet with a steel or tungsten tip was fired. This time, it managed to puncture a hole in the tungsten tube, showcasing the intense force required to penetrate this incredibly resilient metal.
