Zelenskyy arrives in Germany for virtual meet with EU leaders & Trump ahead of Putin's Alaska summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Berlin for a videoconference with European leaders and US President Donald Trump ahead of his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy and his delegation arrived by helicopter at the Federal Chancellery, where Chancellor Friedrich Merz greeted them warmly in the garden near the helipad. German officials said that following their meeting, Merz and Zelenskyy will first hold a virtual meeting with other European leaders at around 2 pm local time (1200GMT) to align their strategy. This meeting will include heads of state and government from Ukraine's key supporters along with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
